About Travel Connections....

Travel Connections has been serving travelers since 1990 in Northwest Ohio.  Started originally as a full-service travel agency, under the name of Travel Agents International, our agency served both the corporate travel and vacation markets.   In 1999, our owner, Steve Hornyak, decided to create a new type of travel agency.... a vacation agency.  Our two offices (Maumee and Oregon) were combined into one physical office in Oregon, and we've never looked back since. 

In July of 1999, the Travel Connections that we know today was created.  It was one of the most innovative concepts in the travel industry, and has been imitated by agencies nation-wide.   Our concept of the Vacation Agency was to help those planning a truly "once in a lifetime experience".  Our resort and service offering was designed to cater the traveler who wants luxury and value in their vacation.   This special 'niche' led Travel Connections to focus on services to Honeymooners and those seeking a Destination Wedding.   We have received awards and accreditation from resorts and companies such as:  Sandals Resorts, Couples Resorts, SuperClubs, Iberostar, RIU Palace, Carnival Cruise Lines, Princess Cruise Lines and several others.   We are a Certified Sandals Specialist, and destination wedding specialist. 

Our agency was founded on the concept that "we'd like to make a friend, as well as a new customer".   We strive to treat our guests as friends, and always remember that this is your 'trip of a lifetime' and that it is very special.  We never lose focus of that.

Steve Hornyak

Steve is an Owner and GM of Travel Connections since 1990. 		 Steve has traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean and is our Alaska, Cruise and European Expert as well.  Steve is recognized as a Lifetime Platinum Member with Sandals Resorts, a Certified Cruise Counselor, Destination Wedding specialist and All-Inclusive Expert.  Steve also carries a Certified Sandals Specialist designation and is a PADI certified diver.
Dianne Hornyak

Dianne is a Honeymoon Specialist and is quite familiar not only with the Caribbean.....		     Dianne  is also one of our resident Hawaii Experts.  Dianne has been to the islands several times and can bring her first-hand experience to your benefit.  Dianne just received her Lifetime Platinum Member status with Sandals, and is an All Inclusive Expert.  Dianne is in the office during 'normal' business hours and by appointment.
Tara Hughes

Administrative and Sales Support

 Tara joined our staff in 2008 to help provide our clients with enhanced customer service and updating our clients on specials and promotion.  Tara has started training in reservations and packages. Tara is available during certain office hours, and by appointment.

 
Linda Bauman
 
  Linda has been a member of our staff since 1999 and has traveled extensively to The Caribbean, Hawaii, Mexico and the South Pacific including Australia and New Zealand in 2007.  Linda is a Certified Sandals Specialist.  Linda is a certified diver and can help with those destinations.  Linda is available by phone or appointment.
Karen Vasko
 
  Karen has been a member of the Travel Connections staff since 1995 and is a Hawaii Expert.  Karen makes an annual trip to the islands to visit and keep up on the area.  It is also her favorite vacation destination.  Karen is a Certified Sandals Specialist.  Karen has also traveled to many destinations in the Caribbean and the U. S.  Karen is available by phone or appointment.
Linda MacRitchie
 
  Linda MacRitchie is our adventure enthusiast and our resident fitness person.  Linda has traveled the Caribbean and Mexico and knows of several choices that lend themselves to those who want to go and "do" on their vacations.... not just sit on the beach.  Linda is available by phone or appointment. 
Mike Szafarowicz
  Mike Szafarowicz has been an avid traveler with All Inclusive Connections for years.  He's now going to put his experience and expertise to work for our clients.  Mike is a Certified Sandals Specialist.  Mike joined our team in August 2007, and is available by appointment and thru email and cell phone.   
Shelia Thatcher
  Shelia is a vacation travel agent and spends much time traveling to different places to learn and build her knowledge.  Shelia can help with your cruise, Disney, or honeymoon plans.  Shelia is a Certified Sandals Specialist.  Shelia joined the agency in 2001 and is available by phone or appointment. 
Nichola Smitley
 

 

 Nicky has been with Travel Connections since 1998 and handles many of our Teacher/Spring Break Vacations.   Nicky's specialties lie in All Inclusive Vacations in the Caribbean and Mexico.  She has also visited Alaska and several Caribbean and U.S. destinations.  Nicky is available via phone or by appointment.
